The 5 speed manual transmission only makes the Xterra more fun and coupled with 4wd and slightly larger-than-stock tires - a nice winter weather or backroad option. We've used this xterra for adventures all over Colorado and Washington mountains. Runs great.
Down side - obd scanner shows catalytic convert sensors triggering check engine. Uphostery - not great, rear wiper doesn't work and tach gauge likes to warm up first.
